Operation Christmas Child

In 2012, Prestonwood enters its 19th year of church participation as well as serving as an Area Collection Center for “Operation Christmas Child,” the perfect holiday mission project for you, your family, your Bible Fellowship, school, or business as it focuses on the true meaning of ChristmasGod's greatest gift, Jesus Christ.

Since its beginning in 1993, more than 68 million children have been impacted in 130 countries through Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, the international Christian relief organization led by Franklin Graham.  In 2008, Operation Christmas Child touched the lives of 7.6 million needy children in 95 countries (including Panama, Afghanistan, Cambodia, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Russia, and South Africa) as shoeboxes filled with toys, personal hygiene items, and other small gifts brought happiness to boys and girls who otherwise would not receive any presents.  The gifts also open doors for presenting the Good News of Jesus Christ through children’s literature, personal witnessing, and evangelistic programs.
